The exciting new "Train Station" addition that opened in June of 2009 in Casey Jones Village is located right next to the historic family home of Casey Jones and recreates a truly authentic 1890's train station look and feel. The Museum exhibits themselves have been widely expanded in the exciting new facility and include artifacts from the life and legend of Casey Jones, his fireman Sim Webb as well as the life of a typical 1900 railroad worker in Tennessee. We're very proud to have the Jackson Room dedicated to Jackson's rich railroad history. We also have a room dedicated to Casey Jones' famous last ride as well as a beautiful Theatre to view a short film on the story of Casey Jones.

Museum guests walk onto a platform as they exit the back door of the Train Station as if to board a train in 1900 and are able to climb into the cab of a 130 ton locomotive engine very similar to Ole #382 that Casey Jones rode to fame. We also have a baggage car and caboose in our collection. The original home of Casey Jones built in the 1800's had renovation work done this past year to the two rooms that formally held exhibits and is a highlight of the Museum tour. It is where Casey Jones lived with his wife and three children.

Read a book...watch a movie...play with trains!

The all new Casey Jones Train Store houses an official Museum store full of train themed gifts and a Thomas the Tank Engine corner complete with a reading nook, movie and play area that the kids absolutely love. We have regular visitors who come to the Museum just to play. There is no charge to visit the Casey Jones Train Store. We love having birthday parties at the Museum too. We are especially excited that the Train Store is featured in the Spring 2010 issue of "Museums & More" magazine and are most appreciative to them to be included in an article in this quality national publication. They feature industry news and products for Museum stores, zoos, aquariums, resorts and hospital gift shops.
